Are banks open on new years eve, is a question on many peoples minds today. The answer is quite simply yes, they are. Today, the 31st of December is not a bank holiday, so the banks will be open as per normal. Well almost, because some banks do have a habit of closing a little earlier than normal on days such as this. So if you do have to make a trip to the bank, play it safe and visit early.It goes, without saying of course that you can expect banks to be closed tomorrow. While many banks have a habit of opening on Saturdays, it will not be the case for tomorrow the 1st of January. Many banks will also be taking the holiday on Monday as well, so do be prepared.While most banks these days do provide ATM facilities, it is not unusual for these machines to quickly run out of cash long before the banks open back up again.
